I first had the idea for this shoot back in February when I was brainstorming themes for my senior group shoots. I’ve always loved the classic vintage look, so it was a no brainer to do something retro. I really wanted colors to pop so that’s how I picked the location of Holly Bay. I knew that even if it was middle of the day, I could make the blue skies and water work. I found pieces along the past few months that I knew would be perfect for our picnic. A picnic basket at an antique store, a vintage pie holder, and a unique looking plant. We didn’t get to use the blanket as much as I had hoped because it was soooo stinking sunny but we did get a few shots that I LOVE so that makes me happy. The girls got their hair done by the so lovely and talented: Natalie Saylor of Blown Away Salon and Spa and we ate sandwiches on the car ride to the beach. It was the best day with these gals. I am sad that about half of our VIP team couldn't join us but they say things happen for a reason, and I don’t feel like I would have gotten to bond with the girls as much had their been more of them. It all worked out :) We also got to spend more time on individual shots.
I hope you enjoy this preview of our day at Holly Bay <3
