You may remember these two cute things from their engagement session blog earlier this year. I shared a little about their story and how they met <3
This gorgeous day started out with Abby and her ladies getting ready with the fabulous hair + makeup gals, Lauren and Caroline. They sipped champagne and mimosas while giggling about all the things the day might bring. Meanwhile, the fella’s were hanging out in the bar along with their friends and family who were awaiting the moment Abby would walk down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband.
Once they were ready, I brought Abby’s father outside to meet her for a first look. He turned around and he couldn’t help but smile so hard. He brought her in for a hug and told her how beautiful she was. Her stepmother and sister were standing nearby, and they shared the sweetest family hug. There was not a dry eye around.
During the ceremony, on the gorgeous greens of the Danville Country Club… I noticed Cody was getting a little anxious when he sensed it was time for Abby to walk down the aisle. He looked over at me and said, “Ok, that’s enough” and I knew instantly he couldn’t hold back the emotions he was feeling. He was about to marry the lady of his dreams.
After the ceremony was over, and they were MARRIED, I found Cody and Abby at the top of the hill. Abby’s face was tucked into Cody’s arm and he held her in the tightest embrace as she cried. It was such a beautiful moment. I could tell they were both so relieved and excited that they had just gotten through that together.
The rest of the night was a celebration for the two of them with their friends and family who had traveled near and far to be there. They danced, drank, and shared a whole lot of love. I personally really enjoyed those Cookie Dough cupcakes…. I honestly don’t think I have tasted something better!
Abby + Cody, thank you so so much for allowing me to be apart of your gorgeous day. I hope you enjoy this preview of their wedding day!
