I have never seen a bride that wore timeless better. Lauren and Matthew were straight out of an old Hollywood movie, think dancing in the street at 3am in the pouring rain kind of movie… but the guy is holding an umbrella so your hair doesn’t ruin.. a starlet and her chivalrous, romantic man. A power couple. A statement. Lauren, you are a dream.
Spindletop Hall is seriously breathtaking. Each room has exquisite detail, that you cannot help but explore. It provides such a magical, romantic ambience throughout. They were so relaxed, and laid back throughout the day, it’s almost like they knew they were right where they were supposed to be. They hoped the rain would pass, but right when it came time for the ceremony to begin, the rain forced itself down harder. Letting a few minutes pass, they made the ultimate decision to bring their guests into the Library of Spindletop for an intimate, dry ceremony. Lauren’s father, was the officiant and led the sweet ceremony that joined them as one.

I’m writing this on the way home from today because I’m overwhelmed with pure gratitude that I had the opportunity to photograph such a genuine, BEAUTIFUL (in all caps for dramatic effect) couple. They welcomed us with warm smiles and the energy of anticipation and excitement hung in the air. I was already excited because it was cloudy and let’s be honest, that’s the best lighting. BUT, then I saw the bridesmaids dresses, and THAT VEIL...... a recipe for a fairytale. I was in love, inspired and so pumped for the day.
It was a miracle that the rain held off long enough for Dani and Clayton to promise each other forever in front of the serene mountain backdrop. Danielle avoided looking at the forecast all afternoon and remained so hopeful that it would pass. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but these two, they don’t need it. It’s as if they were cut from the same cloth. Selfless and compassionate, their friends and family described during toasts. They both leave a little sunshine wherever they go. You’ll see that throughout these photographs, and I hope you get even a small glimpse into the magical love of Danielle and Clayton.

Coming to you straight from a Nicholas Sparks novel, is the story of a love well-traveled.
It was a mutual friend that insisted Heidi meet this blonde-haired friend named CJ. After encountering each other only briefly, within a moment not yet meant to be their’s, she brushed him off. “Not interested” she would tell her friend.
Time was used. Age was earned. And the planets continued to rotate.
CJ had only 4 days from deployment, when Heidi entered his world again. The gentleman Cj is, he asked her to be his first…. phone number saved to his new phone. With the promise of an incomparable texan sunset, how could she deny him? It would be 9 months of delayed communication, as their tale is written. When CJ was finally able to make it back to her, forever was merely a footnote.
The love would be felt for miles. Was it the higher elevation that created such an atmosphere? The popping bar? Perhaps the chemistry of all the guests? One thing was unmistakable: Some things were just simply meant to be. Please enjoy this preview of the BEST. DAY. EVER.

Wedding at The Ashley Inn / Kentucky Wedding Photographer
This day was long awaited for. After rescheduling because of Covid, Emily and Andrew finally had their DREAM fairytale wedding at The Ashley Inn in Lancaster, Kentucky. It was a perfect Spring day. The sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I remember watching Emily and Andrew together for the first time in Montana (her best friend) and Michaels wedding back in 2018. They were dancing at the reception, and even then, I could tell they had that kind of cosmic love that we all dream about. Something I loved about their plans, is that they opted out of having a bridal party. That way, the day was more focused on them and their love for each other. Emily still got ready alongside the best women in her life, and Andrew’s best friend fixed his tie. Their people, Josh and Montana even walked their dogs, Kane and Sabel down the aisle during the ceremony. I remember Emily telling me that she was most excited to see Andrews face when he saw her the first time that day, as she walked down the aisle. That moment was so magical. You could feel the love he had for this amazing, strong, beautiful woman as she gracefully walked herself down the aisle. I absolutely adored that Montana’s (Emily’s best friend) father was the officiant of their ceremony, this made it so much more intimate and special. As well as when Emily shared her father/daughter dance with him too. *Cue the tears!*
Their handwritten vows were so beautiful and so loving. I could barely keep it together behind the camera. But then, at the reception, Montana gave the toast about how Andrew wants to protect Emily the same way she has since second grade. That’s when the tears REALLY made their appearance. They shared not one but two choreographed dances and did so flawlessly. They danced, laughed, drank, shed a few tears here and there, and close to the end of the night, we walked down with them to the pond and made some magical sunset portraits happen. Can I just say that both of them, look like they are straight out of a bridal magazine??? I love Emily sooooo much, I am so honored to be not only her wedding photographer, but FRIEND. She has been there for me at my darkest, so I am happy I got to be there for her during one of the best days of her life.
Emily + Andrew, CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO BEAUTIFUL, DESERVING SOULS!!!!!!
I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
p.s. special thanks to our associate photographers for capturing all the best moments alongside me ALL day long. Mark and Haley, you the real MVPS!
