Wedding at Suits-Us Farms Somerset, KY / Kentucky Wedding Photographer
I’m always so excited to get a wedding day in my hometown. (I mean, I’m excited for a wedding anywhere, but) I’m so used to driving 2-3 hours away for a wedding day so it always ends up taking 2-3 days instead of the 8-10 hours that I am acually there. Not to mention, editing time :) When we do have to drive awhile though, I make Mark (my assistant/associate) drive so I can back up, cull, and pick sneak peeks from your images on the way home. Ah, but enough about us. Let’s talk about why we’re here :)
Kaylee & Junior
I was thoroughly impressed with Suits-Us Farms. There is a bridal house (which is stunning), and outdoor setup for ceremonies, and a beautiful barn to host your reception with a patio covered in fairylights to dance the night away. It was beautiful and heart wrenching to see Kaylee’s happy/sad tears throughout the day. Happy, because she was going to marry the love of her life. Sad, because one of the people she loved most, couldn’t be there. Thankfully, they were able to Facetime once she got on her dress.
Her bridesmaids surprised her with a scrapbook they put together. It was precious to witness them giving it to her. All of them gathered around her, supporting her and loving her, on the biggest day of her life yet.
My most favorite part of the day was the very last dance Kaylee and Junior shared. All of the guests were asked to go out front and prepare for the sparkler send-off so Kaylee and Junior could have just a last few moments, the two of them, and the anticipation of their new life together, on the dance floor. I feel super lucky to have been there to have documented such a precious moment.
Kaylee and Junior, I am EXCITED to see where your love will take you. Wishing you nothing but the absolute best.
