I have really been slacking at blogging lately guys. It’s not that I don’t want to, because I do. But it’s because I meet amazing people like Erika + Zachary and the words I want to say never make their way out of my head, and the words I do end up saying never do the amazing people justice. So, I thought I’d try something a little different this time and I’ll tell the story of Zachary + Erika’s wedding day with photos and words at the same time.
The girls started their day bright and early at 7 AM and looked for things to do until time to get ready. Erika and her bridesmaids got ready at Embassy Suites, in a room where her maid of honor did their hair and makeup. They drank mimosas, listened to country tunes and awaited the day that was to come. I heard one of the gals say, “CAN IT BE 4:30 yet?” which is when Erika would walk down the aisle.
Venue: Fasig-Tipton
Planner: Holly Hills Events
Erika read the letter from her groom, Zachary. I didn't even read it and I was tearing up just by watching her read it. They truly mean so much too each other… it was a beautiful thing to witness.
When it came time to put Erika’s dress on, her momma helped her button up the beautiful delicate buttons and we walked her bridesmaids into the room for the grand reveal. Their faces said it all. Erika was BEAUTIFUL.
The girls hopped on the bus, and they rode over to Fasig-Tipton where Erika would marry her man. The boys were already there, getting dressed upstairs and watching tv. This is when Zachary got to read his letter from his beautiful bride. He was crying, it was so sweet. My heart could barely handle it.
First look with Dad. Erika gave her father a little love token he could put in his wallet forever.
AHHHHH! IT WAS FINALLY TIME and Zachary’s face when he saw Erika was PRICELESS. I hope to remember that moment for the rest of my life.
I think my favorite part of the day as far as details go was Erika’s reception. She gifted each guest a little tiny bottle of Kentucky bourbon. Their details were so unique and everything hinted Kentucky. Which seems fitting since it took place in The Kentucky Room. Along with the details, I also love that instead of cake cutting, Zachary and Erika made a smores’ over the firepit in the rain and also had enough for all of their guests.
They ended the night dancing and kissing in the pouring rain. How romantic <3 Cheers to you, Erika + Zachary.
