Let me start by saying that Elkin's Grove is an absolutely beautiful venue located in Smiths Grove, Kentucky. The bridal house is completed with white shiplap walls and sliding barn doors. It's styled so perfectly for gorgeous lighting while getting ready (this makes my job SO easy and just so happens to be the most flattering light for your makeup artists, brides ;) The Barn where the ceremony and reception is held, was STUNNING and can be styled to fit any mood board. I personally loved how romantic the mood was in the barn with the fairy lights, candles and lanterns.
Now I am going to talk about this amazing couple who got married ;) Kaylee was a dream bride from the start when she told me about her winter planned details... how the bridesmaids were going to be wearing flower crowns and long navy dresses... how it was going to be cold outside, but that she was READY to get amazing photos.. no matter how cold it was! And I will most certainly hand it to her, standing out in the 20 degree weather cannot be fun while standing in a sleeveless wedding dress.... but she looked ABSOLUTELY beautiful and I don't think I heard her complain ONCE about how cold it was. We also initially met only a few months before her wedding day (because they planned this beautiful thing so fast- I can't even believe it (if I tried to pull something this amazing out of that amount of time, I would probably just melt into a little stress puddle) ANYWAYS and Kaylee already had a timeline laid out of how she would have liked her day to go!!!! (GOALS!) Blake is also like the best guy ever to take photos of because he is always so prepared and ready to go and just so awesome at making sure things go smoothly!
So anyways, here is a breakdown of Kaylee + Blake's wedding day :)
We started the day in the bridal suite, Kelsey, Kaylee's sister was busy doing Kaylee's bridal makeup. IT. WAS. FLAWLESS. She is so talented!! The boys were across the hall getting ready and then playing xbox. Kaylee's mom helped her into her dress and then her bridesmaids crowded into the room to see her for the first time! Their expressions were priceless! Then her tiny flower girls helped her into her shoes. Blake and Kaylee then exchanged gifts, and then Kaylee was off to see her dad for the first time. I will never forget when he turned around and said, "WOW!". Kaylee and her dad have a bond like no other!
Next was bridal portraits! Which are my favorite time of the day (other then when he kisses his new wife, duh :) and we did keep taking breaks so everyone could warm up in the barn while we were waiting! Kaylee's dad had brought some heaters for picture time, and that was very nice! Blake and Kaylee then met behind the barn to read their letters, and then Blake seen Kaylee for the first time that day. It was sweet!
Not to long after that, Kaylee Harrison became Mrs. Adams and they celebrated their first few moments as husband and wife taking photos with their closest family and friends. They were shortly after announced into their gorgeous reception area where they ate some AMAZING food, DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY, cried during heartfelt toasts, ran through a bunch of sparklers and escaped the night in a horse-drawn carriage. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!
