Kentucky Senior Photographer / Forest Vibes Senior Session /Pickett State Park / Maggie G.

For Maggie’s senior session, she drew her inspiration from thick forest vibes. So we went to the foresty place I know, the gorgeous, Pickett State Park. We explored a little and ended by the water just before sunset. The lighting was amazing the entire time, and my job wasn’t even hard because look at Maggie! She’s STUNNING! Maggie is a dancer so I knew we had to incorporate some creative movement into her session and that flowy skirt made for the perfect shot! Maggie is one of my Class of 2021 senior ambassadors so it was awesome getting to know her a bit more during her session. Maggie, I can’t wait to watch you do big things in this world!

Kentucky Senior Photographer / Lake Lovers senior session / Studio 606 Senior Experience

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Kaitlyn since she was a freshman in high school. Every year we got to do some sort of session, so I was jumping for joy when Kaitlyn’s momma asked for my senior info and Kaitlyn ended up becoming one of my ambassadors. She is such a fun, beautiful girl who I am blessed to have on my team. Her personality is friends with everyone and she never doesn’t have a smile on her face.

For Kaitlyn’s senior session, we started at the studio for hair and makeup by the fabulous Jamie Wesley. We then visited Kaitlyn’s grandparents house, where we did her photos four years ago. It was awesome to see what has changed on their property since then. The trees were much taller. It’s crazy how fast things grow. After that, we pretty much crawled under a bridge to check out a waterfall. It was worth it though as the fog was rising off the water. A fallen tree draped across the land. We then went to Conley Bottom which is where Kaitlyn has spent her summers since she was a child. They live there on the weekends in a camper they call home.

Kaitlyn, I have loved being your photographer all of these years. You are an outstanding young lady and I am so excited to see what the future holds for you.

Kentucky Senior Photographer / Anthropologie Inspired Senior Session with a Retro Bike / Studio 606 Senior Experience

Sometimes we just meet people in life and our souls just mesh so beautifully. I can say that about Monce. I loved working with her for her senior session. We vibed so well and we made magic together!! Monce is BEAUTIFUL and so talented in front of the camera. She knows exactly how to work it and takes direction so well. Her personality is made of stars, she would light up an entire pitch black room without a doubt. I got to first work with Monce about two years ago, when she was only 13-14 at Holly Bay with her closest friends. At the time, I had no idea she was that young! So I am SO thankful that she chose me to be her senior photographer two years later.

Kentucky Senior Photographer / Studio 606 Senior Experience / Wayne County High School Senior Photographer / Hannah G.

Sweet sweet Hannah. I had so much fun with her for her senior session. We started at WCHS in her cheer uniform on the field, and ventured around the school to some of the most photo worthy spots. We then went to Hannah’s family farm, a place I have been multiple times for photos, to explore and take photos at a nearby waterfall down the road. IT WAS GORGEOUS. We scraped the crap out of Hannah’s car on the bottom but hey, totally worth it. After that, her stepdad took me for a ride on the back of their truck (ALWAYS MY FAVORITE PART OF VISITING THEM) and we drove up to visit the cows and snap a few there. Their rolling Kentucky hills are so beautiful for photographs and it was so cute to see the cows surround Hannah in hopes for some tasty feed. For the grand finale, I got to watch Hannah RIDE a tractor to the top of a haybell. It was so funny! I LOVE the memories I get to make with this family. It wasn’t too long ago, that I was taking Hannah’s brothers senior photos. It feels like yesterday but really it was probably 3 years ago!

Hannah, thank you for letting me be your senior photographer. You are beautiful, amazing, so sweet, and you have the biggest heart in the world. I hope you loved your senior photos and I hope you guys enjoy this preview of her session.

Senior Session at Holly Bay / Kentucky Senior Photographer / Hollie C. Class of 2019

Ok, I know I say every person always kills their session... but honestly, they do. I have the best, most cooperative, most fun, most amazing, clients EVER. Thank you guys for being so awesome. Hollie's senior session exceeded my expectations. She's so sweet, and we had so much fun walking and driving around Holly Bay with her and her momma. I absolutely ADORED Hollie's first outfit. I kept telling her that she looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Her skirt was so flowy and such a pretty blue color which matched the scene perfectly! Not to mention her super cute hair. I love that she did a waterfall braid with flowers. It was so delicate! 

Hollie is an amazing senior, who plans to go to UK after graduation. I know she is going to do amazing things. I cannot wait until her Spring session, where I will get to see a little more about what Hollie is passionate about, which is dance! She dances at the same studio her momma danced at. I love when we are able to incorporate those small little details into a session.

Senior Session at Cave Hill Vineyard Kentucky Senior Photographer / Niyah / Class of 2019

I always love going to Cave Hill, especially with my seniors because we are able to just explore and take in the beautiful scenery. There's always four or five ducks just waddling around and cracking me up with their cute little quacks. It was fun to explore with Niyah because she was down for anywhere I wanted to go. She is sooooooooooooo beautiful, and knows how to rock it in front of the camera! I can't even believe she was nervous because she honestly KILLED IT! My class of 2019 seniors are killing the game, ALWAYS. 

I'm a little behind on blogging my favorites this week because I have been shooting so many amazing people every day so this peek is exclusively for my blog readers as Niyah has already gotten her photos! :)

Senior Session at Greenhouse + Family Farm / Class of 2019 Grayson R.

I don't even need to say this but Grayson is a literal angel that fell from heaven (you will see, trust me) She is such a beautiful gal, and her heart matches her physical beauty 100%! I first met Grayson when she modeled for Everything Beautiful Boutique back in 2016! It's so crazy to think that was actually 2 years ago. She was such a baby then, and now she is starting her senior year of high school! 

Grayson plans to be a vet tech and I think that is like the dream job. She shares my love for animals and has two dogs and two horses. OH and while we are on the subject of horses, we were taking some photos on the farm, trying to trick the horses into modeling pretty... when I decide that I need to get a different lens from my bag. I am walking to get it when I hear, "TAYLOR WATCH OUT!" so I turn around, and Dusty the horse is RUNNING, and I don't mean a soft run, I mean a FULL FLEDGE DARTING RUN towards me, and the first thought I have is "ok, this is where I die" but instead of screaming and running as fast as I could, I just froze. Dusty stopped almost immediately when he got to me and decided to just give me a little nudge with his nose instead of trample me to the ground. I could not stop laughing. I am so happy that I have this story to tell from now on.

Greenhouse: Oak Hill Garden Center

Kentucky Senior Photographer / Madison H. / Class of 2019

Madison is a total SWEETHEART. About a week before her session I went location scouting to find some places that went with what Madison had in mind for her vibe. I sent her two spots the first day and a million other spots the next. We ended up picking the first two spots I sent... which I was excited because they were new to me and totally worth the adventure. We also went to Short Creek, and to my surprise, Madison had never even been there! I’m happy the water was that emerald color when we went because it seems like every time I go there for photos, it’s muddy. We found this little enchanted spot, there was ivy growing up the side of the cave, and butterflies EVERYWHERE! It was soooo pretty.... I kind of felt bad making Madison stand over there because she is scared of butterflies.. or any kind of bug. I can't imagine someone making me stand close to a snake :| sorry Madison!!!! 

The last spot we went to, was this beautiful piece of land where nothing except wildlife and nature lives. The sun was tucked behind the clouds, but the lighting was still amazing.... UNTIL.... we heard a growl, that may have been a far off car, but we got out there QUICK. hahahah!

Senior Session at Blue Heron / Kentucky Senior Photographer / Maddy D. Class of 2019

It was suuuuuuch a hot and humid day for Maddy's senior session but we toughed it out and had so much fun! I met Maddy and her momma at a little gas station in Mccreary County so they could follow me down to Blue Heron. I had forgotten how far the drive was, so I am pretty sure they probably thought I was taking them somewhere in the middle of nowhere to kill them. It must have been a relief when we FINALLY pulled up to this gorgeous set of tracks.

We explored a little before we decided to go down to the water to find that it was SO HIGH.. that was a bummer since Maddy and her momma really wanted some water photos. We were able to find a rock that Maddy could sit/stand on to get a beaaaautiful view of the water in the photos. That was so worth it! I looooove those shots. 

Maddy is such a sweet gal and shoutout to her hair artist, her hair stayed almost the whole time in that humidity! I was so shocked. Maddy, thanks for allowing me to be your senior photographer. You are so funny, and I know you are going to offer the world so much!
